Chatham Industrial Park Bebo Bridge
A Bebo Concrete Arch with a 60 ft span was used to span a stream which connected the main roadway with a new industrial development in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Economically create access to an industrial park from the main roadway that was cut off by a wide stream.
The use of the arch and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wingwalls marked the construction of one of the largest spans in the Northern Virginia area. On-site sandy soils were used as backfill for the embankment and MSE walls. Full height precast panels varying from 8 to 29 ft high were used for wingwall construction. The panels had strips of Tensar geogrid cast into the panels which were later connected to Tensar soil reinforcing grids as the reinforced backfill was compacted in layers behind the wall.
